Did you check the kill switch? I can't remember if these bikes turn over when in the off possition or not. I ran the battery on my Honda down and didn't ride for three days before I realized the kill switch was off.
I don't know what year yours is but check all the switches. The Savages have more safety mechs. than most bikes. One on the clutch, one on the kickstand, + the kill switch. Let us know what you find out.
